Position Overview
The role of the Gardener is to assist in the maintenance and development of the gardens and grounds of the Amaze World venue that will maximize visual appeal, comfort and safety for visiting guests.
As a tourist destination, customer engagement is also a key aspect of the role that will help ensure high quality, high value and highly memorable experiences for both locals and tourists alike. This casual position involves taking initiative and supporting in the smooth and successful operation of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensuring the completion of daily opening procedures, gardening duties and different aspects of cleaning and maintenance
- Engaging with and greeting visitors and staff, attending staff meetings, and following all Amaze World policies and procedures
- Maintaining high WH&S standards for yourself, other staff members and visitors to Amaze World, while also identifying and reporting any and all concerns
- Performing all tasks to your highest ability including spraying, trimming, mowing, raking, blowing, planting, fertilizing, and ongoing maintenance and development duties
- As a 7 day a week tourism venue maintaining strong communication and compliance with other gardening and maintenance staff is also an ongoing requirement, while also partnering in a rotating 7 day a week roster
